Clouds TV
Launched in in 2010, Clouds TV is a private TV station based in Dar es Salaam and belongs to the Clouds Media Group which also runs Clouds Radio, Coconut FM and Choice FM. It is rated the 4th mostly viewed stations in Tanzania with XX.XXX% audience share basing on the Q2 2018 GeoPoll survey.
Its youth inclined programs has made Clouds TV the number one in the youth segment and it is the first station to fully integrate social media interaction and engagement into every broadcast.
The station’s mix of locally produced dramas, soaps, and reality shows mixed with hard hitting news and insightful lifestyle productions has made it a favorite amongst the youth who make up 60% of the population.
Despite news and current affairs, the station also broadcasts diverse programs from musical variety, shows, infotainment, soaps, entertainment and sports.
The station is owned by Clouds Media Group of which Joseph Kusaga, a seasoned entrepreneur, is the co-founder and Chief Executive Officer. Kusaga started off as a DJ and produced events and discotheques across Tanzania, before he co-founded C.L.O.U.D.S. (Cool , Lovable, Outrageous, Unique, Dynamic, Sound) FM. From the inception of CLOUDS, Kusaga has continued to build a strong portfolio of successful media, hospitality and technology firms.
Information about Cloud Media Group are hard to obtain: the company is neither registered at the Tanzanian Communication Regulatory Authority (TCRA), nor is there an incorporation number to obtain the company profile at the Business Registrations and Licensing Agency (BRELA).
